One of the things I LOVE about this story is that both Edward and Bella are two STRONG characters. I love the fact that she doesn't let one of them run from hard situations (yes, Bella may run temporarily, but she never pulls the "im not good for you, im going to leave because its best for you.. which is getting SO old!) So thank you for this amazing story! I love that you combine angst but not in the usual way we see in so many stories! so thank you!

Now, I want to kick Bella's ass. Pity party is right. I wouldn't blame Edward right now if he just said, 'Fuck, it and fuck you', right now. She's being a bitch right now. lol I'm so upset with her, I can't even write a coherent review. ARRRGGG

Now, Edward would have fired anyone else for being a crappy housekeeper. It really looks kind of bad that he is keeping Angela. Also, I wish Edward would explain to Bella that it may not have been anything that she did to cause hearing loss. Maybe he will...if he doesn't leave her. Loved the chapter, but was wondering WHY Esme would bring the baby back so soon. They didn't have time for any sexy time...I really hope 1) Bella didn't f@ck Garrett and 2) She and Edward work things out really soon. This is a GREAT story!!

I meant to add *if he doesn't leave her...but would be understandable if he did*

This chapter brought tears to my eyes. Grace being possibly deaf is sooooo sad. Edward's realization, Bella's guilt. Awesome story.

Oh, that chapter should have come with a warning! I knew this kind of setback would be inevitable but it still hurts so much to read. That said it is awesome that Edward is not taking any bullshit. And Bella needs to find a new low to be able to step up. Neither of them can be codependent if they are going to work. Now, just because I'm loving your work doesn't mean my anxiety can wait like a week and a half for the next chapter!

Did not see the train on the course to derailing like that. My heart goes out to all of them. It was all set up for a great big happy reunion with some alone time for a bigger part of the evening that didn't happen. Plus Bella thinking of Edward constantly at school, then noticing Angela not getting the dusting done with Esme still caring for Grace during the day. It didn't bother E cause he was focusing on Grace and missing Bella? It was a slamming door shattering the glass house... Grace has a hearing problem...B again blaming herself. Which has me wondering what my Great Grandmother did and thought when 4 of her children were born totally blind. One Great Uncle went to live with my Grandparents when my dad was a boy until he was called yonder when I was a little girl. I remember going to reunions in VA and seeing my 2 Great Aunts (which had jobs as secretaries) and the other Great Uncle and them touching my face to 'see' me. I was hoping that Bella would have grown-up a little more and not reacted the way she did, but get why she did. Her hurting him. Angry Cullen telling her how it is going to be. Loved him. "And double fuck yourself and your rules. She isn't even your kid." He pulls me towards him, same force as before, different direction. To his face. "You made sure she was. Or did you forget that?" And I hate him. I wiggle, but go nowhere in his grasp. "This is how it is, so either get with the program, or let us go, Bella." His fingers slide off my skin. He moves from the shower. He leaves wet shoe prints on the tile floor. I bang my fist to the wall until it hurts and throbs. I slam my other fist to the knob, turning off the water. I do not look at myself in the mirror when I step out. I do not.

What an emotional ride. I love that he came after her and wouldn't let her get away with her pity party. I'm glad he stood up for himself here. I am really hating her but the reactions are all still so realistic and believable.
I was hoping for some sexy times but this was so much better....what can I say I love the Angst.
In the end I hope we have a HEA but I am soooooo enjoying the ride. Because it's so realistic and so just *REAL*. Nothing like this is solved quickly and I am so happy that you are telling it like this.
Thank you thank you for writing. Please update quick/soon!

Bella knows deep down inside what she has to do, she has to put on her "big girl panties" and deal with everything that's going on. I adored how Edward is holding her feet to the fire and making her see what she should see. She doesn't have to like it or love it. She just has to accept it and make the best of the situation. It could be so much worse.
This story is grounded so much in real life. Thank you for writing it.

First review. Read this story over the past two weeks, and have lots of good things to say for the first story with Bella as a sex worker (dancer, stripper, prostitute, et al) that hasn't completely offended me with it's cliched, juvenile, cavalier, ignorant treatment of the subject. But now I'm more concerned about you taking on writing about parents discovering and dealing with a child who might have special needs. As mom of a child with special needs, a diagnosis that is very "trendy" right now in pop-culture, writers/actors often get stuff very wrong. You can research stuff on the Internet all day, but the day-to-day physical and emotional realities, the complete shift of the Earth on its axis, that you go through when you find out your child might not be like all other kids, is something very hard to capture if you have not been through it. Please use caution. (All of the above is assuming that you aren't, say, mother to a child with cochlear implants or who is deaf, or somehow otherwise intimately acquainted with hearing issues. If you are any of these things, you could include a little A/N and maybe a link if there's a website you approve of for its handling/description of the issue.) Normally would this story I would have no problem if Bella actually did have sex/get drunk date raped with someone at the party, but I'm not sure it's not a shade too Tanya for Edward to bear in this particular story. But I did like seeing her relapse. She tends to think she's pretty hard core and mature beyond her years, but now she should see what it really means to be grown up and deal with sh*t like an adult.

Chap 56 such a great chapter! Bella so needed an awakening, Edward I'm so very glad got a backbone in the process. He will not lose track of what is important. Makes me so happy for baby Gracie to have a Dad like that. He's so sensitive but sees light at end of tunnel I love that abt him. I love Bella's carefree attitude but she is being selfish. I know thats all she knows right now. But anyway... As far as Gracie goes. I'm sad she has to deal with hearing damage but she has a great teacher to guide her down that path. Thanks!

I am really mad at Bella, saying those horrible things to Edward and giving up on her chance at redemtion so quickly.
Please tell me she didnĀ“t have sex with Gareth.
.....
I love the story
